Team Managers

All parents help the league by helping to pour drinks for the players, and bringing fruit and water to the games. We wouldn't have a soccer league if it weren't for you! We also have some very special parents who generously donate their time to our league. They deserve recognition.

Team managers used to be called team moms, then team parents. But, regardless of what they are called, every team needs someone who organizes the parents on the team and distributes the league information to them. Team managers play an important role in helping the league run smoothly so our children can enjoy playing soccer. They help the team get ready for the opening ceremonies, make the team banner, distribute uniforms, and make sure drinks and fruit are provided at each game. They make numerous phone calls to parents - when practices are rained out, when pictures will be taken, to remind them to bring refreshments, and lots more.

It is also important for team managers to relay information from the parents and players to the board of directors. We want input from our parents and players to the board of directors. We want input from our parents! The commissioner and staff can't be on every field at every game. So, let your team manager know what is going well - and not so
well - during the season. He or she will report your comments at the monthly board and staff meeting.
