The 2011 AYSO Section 14 State Games will be held over the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday weekend January 15-17. This year the tournament will be in Wellington. AYSO Region 345 has always been a strong supporter and successful participant in the AYSO Section 14 State Games. Boys and girls teams in the U10, U12, U14, and U16/19 divisions are eligible to compete in this tournament. We need coaches, assistant coaches, and team managers (technical assistants) in each of these divisions. We want to make the AYSO Section 14 State Games experience available to as many players as possible.
A 2011 AYSO Region 345 Section 14 State Games is attached. If you are interested in coaching or participating at the 2011 AYSO Section 14 State Games this year, please fill out the attached application and return it to AYSO Region 345 Tournament Committee (or email to polar4321@aol.com) by Saturday, October 9, 2010. All interested coaches are encouraged to submit an application. Participation as a coach at the AYSO Section 14 State Games is a rewarding and memorable experience. We are always looking for enthusiastic coaches willing to expand their commitment to this program. Please consider this an open invitation. All applications will be considered in all divisions. All coaches and assistant coaches interested in coaching at the 2010 AYSO Section 14 State Games must have on file a current 2010 AYSO Volunteer Application and be certified at the level in which they are coaching.
In the selection of coaches and assistant coaches, we are looking for coaches with a positive attitude, who believe in and have demonstrated their commitment to the six fundamental AYSO philosophies and will uphold and support these philosophies as a representative of AYSO Region 345 at the AYSO Section 14 State Games Tournament. The 2011 AYSO Region 345 Section 14 State Games coaches and assistant coaches for each division will be selected on Monday, October 11, 2010. There will be a mandatory organizational meeting for all coaches and assistant coaches selected to participate in the 2011 AYSO Section 14 State Games on Wednesday, October 12, 2010 at 6:30 p.m.
Tryouts for players interested in participating in the AYSO Section 14 State Games will be held on:
Sunday, October 17, 2009--U10 and U12 3:00-4:30; U14, U16, and U19 4:30-6:00
Friday, October 22, 2009--U10 and U12 6:00-7:30; U14, U16, and U19 7:30-9:00
Sunday, October 24, 2009--U10 and U12 3:00-4:30; U14, U16, and U19 4:30-5:00
Teams will be picked the week of October 25 in the Activity Building (Coach of each team only) with at least (2) two of the following – AYSO Region 345 Regional Commissioner, AYSO Region 345 Assistant Commissioner(s), AYSO Region 345 Coach Administrator, AYSO Region 345 Assistant Coach Administrator, AYSO Region 345 Gender Director, or AYSO Region 345 Age & Gender Division Coach Coordinator. Monday, October 25-U10 Boys and Girls Teams made 6:30-8 pm
Tuesday, October 26-U12 Boys and Girls Teams made 6:30-8 pm, (AYSO Tournament Committee reviews U10 Boys and Girls Teams and contacts coaches with final roster)
Wednesday, October 27-U14 Boys and Girls Teams made 6:30-8 pm, (AYSO Tournament Committee reviews U12 Boys and Girls Teams and contacts coaches with final roster)
Thursday, October 28-U16 & U19 Boys and Girls Teams made 6:30-8 pm, (AYSO Tournament Committee reviews U14 Boys and Girls Teams and contacts coaches with final roster)

The 2011 AYSO Region 345 Section 14 State Games teams may practice on Friday’s or Sunday’s starting October 31 until the end of the AYSO Region 345 Fall recreational season. However, the priority will be for the players to attend their recreational team practice. During the week practices will begin on Monday, November 22, 2010.
It has always been and will continue to be the policy of this region to include as many players as possible in this tournament. To achieve this goal, in any division where a sufficient number of players tryout to roster multiple teams, the region will be represented at the AYSO Section 14 State Games by the maximum number of teams permitted by the tournament organizers. These teams will be as evenly matched and balanced as possible.
